IC Analysis

Immediate Constituent Analysis or IC analysis is a method of analyzing sentence structure. This sentence analysis introduced by Leonard Bloomfield in 1933 and further developed by Rulon Wells and Zelling Harris. 

In this analysis, a sentence is break down to further constituents until it gets final morpheme.

The Graphical Representation of IC Analysis is;
It breaks down sentences into its smallest meaningful constituents. 

Another example is;

These is an important structural analysis. Though it has so many limitations, it is considered as a system of dividing sentences in to smallest meaningful units.
